  • All staff at Restore Wellness IV Hydration Therapy are certified medical practitioners in Alberta. Either an Advanced Care Paramedic or a Registered Nurse will administer and monitor the client during their vitamin infusion. Every employee at Restore must maintain registration and be in good standing with their governing body. Our practitioners are also required to take additional IV therapy courses to ensure they have the knowledge and skill set to handle any of our clients’ needs.

  • Yes! The Restore Wellness drip menu has been approved by a licensed physician, also known as our Medical Director (MD). • Each new client will fill out a detailed medical history and assessment form, which will be reviewed by our medical team. Upon completion of your complimentary consultation, assessment of any client requests, and evaluation of your vital signs, our practitioners will develop a treatment plan that includes recommendations on IV drips that best fulfill your needs and expected outcomes.

  • Yes! All our products come from an approved compounding pharmacy. IV vitamin therapy is generally safe. IV therapy is minimally invasive, but there are inherent risks with any type of IV catheter that punctures the skin. This will be reviewed during your complimentary assessment.

  • Yes! Our IV bags are always prepared the same day as they are infused and are never frozen. From the time the IV bag is mixed, it has to be infused within five hours or the bag is discarded. In fact, all ingredients used by Restore Wellness have a 28-day puncture-to-expiry window, meaning none or very few preservatives. All IV bags are prepared using aseptic technique, including mixing under a HEPA filter vertical laminar flow hood, which creates a bacteria- and dust-free workspace.

  • This depends on a number of factors, including the specific vitamins, minerals, and amino acids being infused. It also depends on the client’s baseline nutritional status. Diet, exercise, stress levels, and sleep all play major roles in absorption. Some clients choose IV therapy weekly, bi-weekly, or just once a month with great results!

  • Unfortunately, at this time, we do not perform iron infusions. Please consult your licensed medical provider for more information.

  • Most of Restore Wellness’ IV drips do not require blood work. The only IV drip that requires blood work is our high-dose Vitamin C infusion, for which we require a negative G6PD blood test. Follow up with your medical provider for this test.

  • Yes! In fact, breastfeeding women require more B vitamins than non-breastfeeding women. All our IV solutions are prepared to suit individual client needs. Please mention this in your complimentary medical assessment, and your IV solution will be tailored to your needs. You are always encouraged to reach out to your family doctor before considering IV therapy.

  • It is generally safe to continue your normal daily vitamin regimen. If you have any questions, please consult your medical healthcare professional or Restore Wellness staff.

  • Standard insurance plans currently do not cover vitamin IV therapy. You may receive reimbursement if your insurance plan includes a Health or Wellness Spending Account. Some of our current clients have had success receiving full or partial reimbursement under these plans, but we suggest contacting your insurance provider before your visit. Restore Wellness does not direct bill.
